Isn't that really what a blog is ? I used to find it very cathartic to vent to my computer screen so here I am back at it.....
October....not my favorite month. Not the happiest month, and it leads in to a season I dread - WINTER. How can someone who has never lived anywhere else continue to live here? Oh yeah, I can't afford to move anyplace else! I hate having to turn the heat on - not just because of the hideous expense - but I love having the windows open. I hate having to scrape the car every morning, but having deicer to clear the windows and OPEN the car doors is a gift from heaven in the winter! I HATE needing crampons to get to the car, but one header on the ice last winter made me break down and invest in a pair. While I am looking forward to see how well they work, another part of me is hoping I don't have to put them to the test.
But, who can think about that with the weather we have had lately? October came and went, now November is almost gone and I've only had to deice the car once. Doesn't seem real for this neck of the woods. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and they are predicting 60 degree weather! Too bad I will be working. The upside to working tomorrow is it pays time and a half - downside is it will not really be busy. It will make for a LONG afternoon. Maybe I should take a book with me?
